ABOUT THE THERAPIST – MRS JOYCE NYARKO DONKOR
Joyce, the lead therapist at PeaceAwash Wellbeing is a fully qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist. She is a member of British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). She has over 20 cumulative years’ experience of counselling in a community unit, prison and in NHS primary and secondary care as psychotherapist and counsellor, and a volunteer counsellor in Church context. Joyce offers therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples and families, encouraging emotional, psychological wellbeing and spiritual growth.
The heart of her practice is bringing healing to all human relationships by inspiring individuals to live at peace with themselves and with other people.
Joyce has extensive knowledge and experience in combining key counselling approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), Person-Centred, and Psychodynamic to meet individual’s specific needs. But her speciality is in psychodynamic therapy. She responds to each person as a unique individual and empowers them to learn skills that would help them to develop their own lasting changes.
The whole process happens in non-judgemental and a confidential space which enable thorough reflection and empowerment for change.
